Our Mission

At Autonomous Hippopotamus, our mission is to help neurodivergent learners and their support systems understand what they need to learn, grow, and participate fully in their lives. We provide individualized support that respects neurodivergence, recognizes individual strengths, and meets people where they are.

We believe people should not have to change who they are to be successful. By providing thoughtful education, advocacy, and support, we help reduce barriers, increase access to meaningful opportunities, and empower individuals to become confident life-long learners.

We don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Our work is shaped around the individual and how they think, learn, and engage. This allows our supports to be flexible, responsive, and grounded in real needs rather than cookie-cutter interventions and programs.
